What Nyali is like
Residential area on the mainland north of Mombasa Island, across Tudor Creek, and the name of one of Mombasa County's six sub-counties. Nyali constituency covers 22.88 km² and five wards: Mkomani, Kongowea, Kadzandani, Ziwa la Ng'ombe and Frere Town. The sub-county counted 216,577 people in the 2019 census. Links Road runs through it past City Mall, Nyali Centre and Kongowea Market. Nyali beach is one of the beaches bordering the Mombasa Marine National Park and Reserve (gazetted 1986), whose headquarters gate is the Nyali Gate.
