What Westlands is like
Westlands sits about 3 km northwest of the Nairobi CBD and gives its name to Westlands Sub-county and Westlands Constituency (72.4 sq km, five wards: Kitisuru, Parklands/Highridge, Karura, Kangemi and Mountain View). It is one of Nairobi's main office districts: in 2023 Knight Frank reported it held the largest share of Grade A office space in the city. Homes are mostly apartments; Estate Intel tracked about 4,181 units in 2024, with two and three bedroom units the most common. The sub-county had 308,854 residents in the 2019 census.
