What Loresho is like
Loresho is a residential area northwest of the Nairobi CBD, one of three sub-locations (with Kitisuru and Kyuna) in Kitisuru Ward, Westlands Constituency. The 2019 census counted 21,036 residents on about 9 sq km. Once a 400 acre coffee estate, it was developed from the late 1960s by the Loresho Housing Company as four bedroom bungalows on half acre plots, with a second phase (Loresho South) of 200 homes from the late 1970s. Loresho Ridge, built by the Kenya Power Pension Fund, adds apartment blocks, villas, townhouses, four shops and a kindergarten.

- About 7.5 to 11 km from the CBD, depending on the source and the part of Loresho. Access is from Waiyaki Way and Kaptagat Road. Matatu routes 23 and 30 (Town, Westlands, Kangemi) run along Waiyaki Way. The Nairobi Expressway ends at the James Gichuru Road junction on Waiyaki Way.
